Tried tillys brunch and it was very tasty. The mimosas were great. The omelets were large and all the ingredients were fresh. The service was great also. Definitely a spot to check out with friends or family away from the hustle of downtown Chicago traffic.

Been to this restaurant only 3 times. They have the best cheese sticks that are the size of a twinkie! Also i love their cheese fries as well. Very friendly staff!

po'boy was fiyah

We have come here many times before but I have given a review of the restaurant. In the past the menu had changed a few times appeared primarily offering po'boy. Today, the menu had grilled skewers, burgers, built your own salad and pizza, po'boys (of course), and more desserts. I love their banana pudding. It is so good, even though they only tease your taste buds with a small amount. It seems to be a nice way to cleanse your palette. Tonight's dinner, for me was a build-your-own salad and wings. Delicious! The bacon was REAL bacon, their were 2 hard boiled eggs with paprika. My husband had a shrimp po'boy and gumbo. They used to include banana pudding with the meals, at least the po'boys. Now you can add it for a dollar, I believe. The came to the table with the check and asked if there was anything else. My husband said no, but I wanted banana pudding. She brought it at no charge. What a sweetie! It was as good as I remember. Great job, Tilly's, once again!!

The only thing worse than the food was the service. We went on karaoke night for dinner, drinks and karaoke. The gumbo soup was decent but the chicken and steak skewers were awful. They were dry, tasteless and lacked any type of presentation. My friend didn't like the calamari either. Service- horrific! Our server barely stopped at our table without us stopping her. They couldn't figure out how to split the check evenly between two credit cards. Because of this, they only charged one card and we ended up getting half off. Karaoke- I wish people were there for the fun of it. Most acted as if there were talent scouts in the audience, including the host/DJ/whatever he was. So no, I will not go back!

I went here for my daughter birthday dinner and I was hearing all these good things about their food and DRANKS. So I decided to go and I was not impressed I ordered a drank that was basically vodka and supposedly fresh squeeze juice when I received my drank (being a bartender myself) I knew this wasn't FRESH at all. I sent it back and our waiter assured me it was fresh and he would ask to have it remade so I allowed it and of course its not freshly made they have a whole pitcher already made!! Ridiculous, if I ask if it's freshly made obviously I want fresh, the menu says fresh...so make it fresh dammit!
(1)Rosalind T.
The food is great but as the service SUCKS i waited 15 before anyone came to the table, no water was brought to me no one came and asked me how my food was...omg first bad experience Maybe my last

The girls and I wanted to chat and blab our mouths about random crap. I said I didn't care where we went as long as there was food and/or booze. Tilly's!!!!!! Friday nights are karaoke at this joint so the place was PACKED!!!! Parking will definitely be an issue that you need to be aware of. Their first lot was full so I ended up parking in the next one over. Inside, the place is HUGE!!!! Back areas, ginormous main area and even an upstairs area to dine in look down on the restaurant. There are some slot machines when you first walk in for those who wish to drown their miseries in losing their money instead of just eating their worries away. The food was pretty good. I had a shrimp and chicken kabob, fries, and garlic cheese bread. The meal also cane with gumbo soup. I only wish it had of been seasoned better. The lack of seasoning left more to be desired. Karaoke was pretty darn entertaining. I was almost ready to throw my panties at a few singers. The sound went out a couple of times though. The service - cool. Our waiter did great until the end where it took us about 30 minutes to get the check, pay for it, and get our change back. The manager that night was awesome. She made it a point to walk around and check on the customers. When she came to our table to see about us, she suggested a drink, and even offered to bring us a sample. I forgot the name of the drink but it's something similar to jungle juice - yummers!!!! She even got on the mic and sang. Total cutie pie! There are daily specials as well. Will totally be returning.

This is my third visit. The food and service are consistently good. I've had the chicken nacos- not my favorite but good. The chicken PoBoy was deelish and the fries are amazing. Each visit my bestie ordered the Catfish, she loves it...hence the third visit ;). Ask for Annie, she is a great server.
(4)Big D.
Great place. Food was on point. I'm not sure what others were talking about slow service. They were reasonable and timely. Menu have been a little more descriptive, but great place. $50. Two meals, app ACS 1 drink. Will be back!!!!
(5)Chloe T.
This is a great place to come to listen to those who can sing and those who cannot. The service is amazing, they operate like one big family. The drinks are even better!!:) The hard lemonade and the long islands are my personal favorite. I enjoy the po'boys, but I hope to try more things off the menu in the future!

Where to go, where to go. Tilly's! They have karaoke, THE BEST FOOD, and the crowd is so live. When I'm looking to have a good time but I don't feel like standing all night and I want to grab a bite I come here. They are always packed. That's a plus and a minus all on one. Never a dull moment, or a free table. The songs are usually r and b and the crowd is more mature. The service is nice. The problem is that with so many people there it's hard not to get shuffled in the crowd be patient. They are nice and friendly and as attentive as they can with such a popular place. Rather you want to sing your heart out or enjoy some one else singing (or attempting to) this place has got you covered.

My daughter and I went the day after Thanksgiving (2014). I bought a Groupon after reading some really good reviews on here. Overall the food was really good and the drinks were good also. I ordered the shrimp and bacon Po'Boy. It was excellent and quite tasty. Plenty of shrimp. The sauce on it was tasty also. My daughter ordered the catfish Po'Boy. She enjoyed it as well. You are given a dessert with your meal. I chose the banana pudding. It was ok. It tasted like Jello Pudding and not homemade. My only complaint was the sever messed up both my daughter and my order. We both ordered the smaller Po'Boy sandwiches (which I think is called the "big", but she brought us the "huge" sandwich instead). When we told the server, she acted as if we were the ones that made the mistake. She offered to take it back, but I refused because I don't like sending food back. So, I ended up spending WAY more money (even with the $20 Groupon) because of the "mix up". The server made it up to me by giving me a complimentary glass of wine...something I suggested. The drinks are not watered down...also the ambience is nice. There are TV's everywhere with sports and a few TV's playing old school videos. The decor is nice also. I would recommend this restaurant.

Quite simply the worst service I've ever had in a sit down restaurant. It took nearly fifteen minutes before the waitress brought us menus and the free water. It wasn't busy either, my table was one of the few in there. So we order and we don't see heads or.tails of our waitress for almost an hour after she brings us our food. It was nothing special, not nearly worth the wait. So far its the only time I've left no tip. Stay away
(1)Myboyzandme D.
Good food/bad service They initially sat is at a both with a broken seat, which could've been disastrous. I just had abdominal surgery and luckily I put my knee in the seat first to help me sit. The seat slid off the bench onto the floor. My husband told them the seat was broken and they just responded "ok". I ordered the buffalo shrimp Po boy which was very good and the Mac and cheese which was not. The waitress took a while to take our order and didn't come back to check on us. I think this place would be great as an order to go restaurant with a sit down option. Several people around us had complaints.
(3)Bianca W.
I ordered off Groupon and it was great . My first time hearing about this place . The food took about 20 minutes but well worth it .
(5)Cerene P.
Food was excellent. The service was a little slow and it wasn't even packed yet. Maybe because it was a Friday night, i don't know but we will still go back. I had the buffalo shrimp po boy, which had a delicious blue cheese slaw in top. Hubby had a burger. Both came with a little delicious banana pudding and chocolate pudding dessert. Can't wait to visit again with my girls and try karaoke night.
(4)Jorie W.
Tried this place for the second time today. The first was a week or so ago, on a lunch hour. After waiting 45 minutes for the food, my lunch hour was exhausted and we left, hungry. There were only 2-3 other tables sitting at the time. Figured maybe we could do better on a weekend. Bad idea. Timed it, 42 minutes from ordering until our food showed up. At that point 3 out of the 4 meals had some sort of mistake or missing component. This was mildly annoying since our server, though super nice and sweet, had even come back to double check and verify our order 10 minutes after originally taking the order... As I type, we are going on 12 minutes waiting for a to go box and the check. The food was decent, not worth the cost, and definitely not worth the wait. Will NOT be returning again.
(1)Louie S.
First time here and was quite impressed The only reason they're getting four stars is because they were out of andouille sausage and whipped cream but other than that quite excellent huge portions everything was very tasty the biggest hit was the banana pudding at the end of the meal. Sunday during the day they have a magician walking around entertaining tables Thursday is karaoke night as well as Friday and Saturday
(4)Christine Y.
I must admit I haven't had any food that I've had an issue with in all my visits to this place. Monday's are 1/2 off pizza day and the pizza choices are great. They have a chicken Alfredo pizza which is superb. I had the veggie pizza on my last visit and calamari (back on my no meat lifestyle again) and I had NO complaints. Sometimes the food doesn't come out as quickly as I'd like or I have to hunt down my server but the quality and taste of the food makes up for that.
(5)Craig C.
Decent food and drink...party atmosphere. ..my son says too many TVs. He had the Cal City Club, which he said was excellent, although he says it needs more lettuce. My shrimp and bacon (!) po'boy was pretty good... the shrimps are big and juicy, but a little too chewy, which is accentuated by the bacon (too chewy for me)...boom-boom sauce is good, toasted bun is also good, if a bit too crunchy, tomatoes and lettuce are nice. Blue Cheese Slaw is a bit too intense as a side. Side salad was good and fresh, although veggies were cut too big. Absolute Chocolate shake was excellent. ...If a bit too vanilla-flavored. Good iced tea. Will we be back? We will probably not go out of our way.
(4)Mickey N.
I had the buffalo blue cheese shrimp po boy and my girlfriend got the California hero, both were pretty good although I wish mine was a bit spicier. The sandwiches came with a side and pudding on the side. However, for just a half sandwich I felt it was very overpriced and it seemed weird to be a sit down sandwich place. Sandwiches were pretty good, not the best Pretty overpriced, $9-$12 for a half sandwich and $12-$15 for a full sandwich. Was not bad, but I wouldn't go back again.
(3)Viv T.
First time stopping in to try a sandwich and it was seasoned to perfection! Shrimp GALORE! Looking forward to treating my kids there soon! ...VERY FRIENDLY STAFF!!!
(5)Willie B.
The food is a great value and is portioned plentiful. The atmosphere is your standard sports bar feel. The organization is not good, and they don't take reservations. The host staff seemed startled by the large crowd for the opening game of the NBA Finals, and struggled to seat the groups of families waiting by the small entrance with no waiting area. The staff's attentiveness was non-existent and we never got an offer for refills on water. Plus I really wanted to try the"taste" of their banana pudding for $1, but never got that either. Hey but at least they remembered to charge my family of 12 a gratuity though we sat at 3 separate booths. This establishment is probably great on the weekdays and during slow times, but for major sporting events and weekends, this is not the place.
(2)Mario M.
Tilly's offers up some really tasty food. I wasn't sure what to expect from this place as my companion and I sat down. We were having second thoughts about staying based on the ambiance. The place was almost empty and with all the televisions one would assume they would find something better to play than bad 80's video. The beer selection was sub par.....filled with the old run of the mill boring beers. The service was fine. As far as the food is concerned........the calamari was really good and perfectly breaded and the shrimp and bacon po' boy was out of this world. I plan on returning to this place at some point specifically for the food and I would more than likely become a regular if they can do something about the ambiance and beer selection.
(3)Frank J.
First of All...this place has PLENTY of TVs! Located at most booths and ALL around the place...and of course the bar area! There is also a stage for Karaoke Weekend Nights. Really enjoyed the Garlic Parmesan Wings for an appetizer. Very nice flavor and texture. Blackened Catfish PoBoy was very, very tasty and crispy especially with the fried green tomatoes on it. The build your own salad was fantastic! Maybe it was because I built it myself...Hahaha! Only negative is that the shake machine was down and I believe that they need a better or more variety of a drink selection.
(4)Greg L.
Stopped by here randomly. Didn't even know the place existed. The crew there was very nice, even our waitor who seemed to be on his first day on the job. Had the shrimp po'boy with bacon. Damn good. The wife had the California which was a turkey sandwich. ... she raved about it. All in all, it was a good place to eat. And they were playing nothing but old school 90s r&b and hip-hop. Im a metal guy, but it did bring me back to the old days. And if your thinking the place is Cajun with a lot of spice, I found the food quite mild, so no worries.
(4)Ed C.
Great food, great service and good entertainment for the Happy Days day party hosted by Teefa (Radio personality from Power 92.3fm), SoulSelectors, and Ernestine Walton (Edubb Entertainment,SoulSelectors). You can catch them every Saturday from 12pm-6pm...

Some of my family and I were trying to decide where we should go eat lunch in the south suburbs and I looked up sit-down restaurants in near Calumet City and Tilly's came up and we had driven past it before. I looked at the ratings and I'm always a fan of Southern/New Orleans style food. Turns out the food was actually really good and flavorful. Loved the gumbo-liar and the fries that I stole from my brother. Tried a drink called the crash and burn (alcohol) which was also good. And it was a lot of food for the price. I definitely plan to come back here to try different meals on the menu and they have some drink specials I wanted to try (during the week). Nice and friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.
(4)Kendra O.
Fun place to hang out with groups. the catfish poboy is good, but small in my opinion. The wings are huge and really good. They did not have enough menu options in my opinion.
(4)Teddy V.
Food great takes forever to get your food ,service not good at all ,that was the second time I went there and things have not changed!
(1)Nicole W.
This was my first time here and the service was absolutely horrid! Our waitress had a really bad attitude and didn't check on us at all after we placed our order. She completely disappeared for like 20 minutes. I complained to the manager and about 10 minutes later, after someone else brought our food, she reluctantly came over and flippantly asked if we needed anything. I ordered a margarita like 40 minutes ago and she still hadn't brought it. Meanwhile, the other waiters and waitresses were busy tending to their tables constantly. By the time she brought my margarita, we were almost done eating. So, I advised her that I no longer wanted it. To make a long story short, she brought us the check without removing the margarita and then disappeared. We attempted to get her attention when she came into our area, but to no avail. She completely ignored us. I had to ask the busboy to assist us with getting the bill adjusted. She finally came back to the table and sarcastically replied that she'd adjust our bill. I watched her take care of 5 other table's bills before she went to the manager to adjust ours. They ended up giving us cash for the drink because for some reason their technology didn't allow them to adjust/reverse/void the bill. Needless to say, I'll never return... AND to make matters worse, the food was not good!
(1)Rosey M.
Great food but horrible service. Prepare to wait just to get order placed. So I would bring a snack and great company to ease the pain.
(2)George D.
Stopped in for lunch.... Have no complaints... The food was good, generous portions, and desert included.... I will be back, have to check out the bar
(4)Renee T.
2nd time I've been to this restaurant and experienced longer than necessary wait time. I arrived less than 30 minutes of opening. It was at leat 15 minutes prior to my order being taken. Food arrived in a substandard time but it was hot. The wait staff isn't the fastest in this place.
(2)Daisy Q.
After my sister raved about this place I decided to buy a Groupon and try it. Me and my little sister ended going on a Friday afternoon. I love the ambience this place has. They have tvs everywhere and the music they play is more on the soft side of r&b. I've been back a couple of times and the menu they've changed like three times I think. I was hoping they would keep the sweet potato salad side but it didn't make. It was one of my favorites. The sandwich selection too changed which I don't too much mind but I wish they would stick with one menu and not change it. I always get the Bleu cheese buffalo shrimp po boy and it is always on point, a little more kick would be nice but other than that the execution is great. My little sister got the chicken tenders and my lord the plate is huge. She really loved it. I hate that they closed Leonas because it was my favorite place but tillys definitely makes up for it. Plus they give you a mini dessert with your food and I always get the banana pudding.
(4)Jose T.
Great food, great ambiance. The service has room for improvement, but everything else is good.
(4)Diana S.
My first time here was when i used a groupon i purchased. I was very surprised of the ambiance when i walked in. My order was takeout but i promised myself I'd return. I've gone back and had an amazing time. There was karaoke taking place engaging the entire place. The drinks made the evening a success. I've told a lot of people about this place and it's now become their weekend spot. Great place!
(5)Willie M.
nice environment but too expensive for some things we paid 25 dollars for two 5 wings and one small fry because they didn't come with any
(4)Karen W.
My first experience was this past valentines day and as my fiance & I were being shown to our table, the floor was so greesy that I almost fell right near the hostess counter and the so call manager at the time was stacia and she did apologize but never did anything to wipe up the oily area ..how I no, because she sat us about 2ft away from the same area, I was very unhappy about that but we decided to stay and try to make the best out of our evening considering it was valentines day... We had a nice time so my wonderful waitress by the name of shayla made us feel very comfortable and was attentive to our needs the whole time we were there(love her)..I decided to ask shayla about having a surprise party for my daughter who was turning 19 on march 4th and would be home from college on spring break...she explain to me all that she new about booking this party and suggested that I talk to stacia so, I did that same night...the following week I called stacia at the restaurant and booked this party and paid the $100 deposited over the phone with my debit card..and was told by Stacia that $25 would go to Tilly's and I would get $75 back as long as we didn't go over 3hours....she explain to me that this particular room holds 20 people & if I went over by a few just call her a few days before the party to let her no...every time I called she never really had time to talk but would always say she'd call me back but I didn't hear from her... so, I had to end up calling during the day time hours just to talk to another manager & his name was Alexander and suggested he take a message for stacia to please get in contact with..never heard from her that day or night(she works evenings)...finally the next evening she called and agreed to give me the two booths that sit on each side of the area that I booked and told me there was a early party in the same area and they would be out at 9pm and I will be able to get my PAID area at 9:30pm.... Now its party night (3-7-15)and I get there at 9:15pm and my area was still occupied by the previous bookers who was suppose to be out at 9pm...I came with my family which included the birthday girl and I ask stacia why wasn't my area ready because by this time its 9:30pm and all she can say to me is "I told them that they have to clear the area but they won't " and she said "what u want me to do, I can't go up there and move them".....I was blown away considering I have paid for this area for 3hours (9:30 to 12:30). I was pissed because my daughter now starts to wonder what's going on so shayla decided to sit us in a small booth until they could get these people out of our area...By this time other family members started to show up but was forced to stand by the front door looking crazy!!! I had to go ahead and reveal to my daughter what was going on because I really had no choice....I then ask to speak with the general manager and I did tell him what was going on and he went upstairs right away to get the previous party out of my area so finally 10 minutes later they started to clear out. Then there was another 10 minutes for the bus boy to clean the area... There were also other people dinning in the extra 2 booths that I was promised by stacia ...now we finally get them out and now I'm hearing some crap about if I have more then six people then the gratuity is a certain amount.. This was the first I had heard of this until the night of...I should have been giving all details before she excepted my money.. I was disappointed with the un- professionalism of stacia, during all this commotion she never approached us anymore that night...she made this mess but never came to apologize for anything.... Thanx to shayla, I stayed as calm as I could and she made everything work out for the best! My daughter end up having a great time & so did the rest of my family...she made us all feel like we were family to her and I give much thanx & love to shayla.. stacia is not management material so if u go in their or wanna book a party Do not, I repeat.. do not deal with her!!!! There was another manager by name of Roni (if I remember correctly) who stepped in after she heard what had happen and she was really professional and really sweet and could not apologize enough...thanx Roni & most important "thank youuuuuu Shayla!!!!! I don't think I would stop going here because I love the karaoke & shayla's hospitality.... If you See stacia , run!!! I ask for a number, email, or web sight from the GM where I could go to reach the owner but he said there wasn't any.. This was sunday the next afternoon when I went back for my $75 I never got returned to me on the party night.... And we spent a little over $400.00 in this place...... Nice place to hang and the food is awesome they just need to be better trained on how to book parties & deal with the public (STACIA!!!!!!)
(3)Terra S.
Horrible service, I've been three times so far and nothing has changed. I've even spoke with the so called "Manager" who seemed concerned that we had waited over twenty minutes and had not even received water yet; however it still took another 10 minutes for the water. I placed my food order at that time also that took 30 minutes & wasn't even what we ordered.
(2)Ciara S.
I came here for drinks with my friend. They let us go straight to the bar and the bartender was really nice. She explained to us the different drinks. I just chose the drink that I saw everyone else in the esturant have: the Hurricane. It was soooo good. They werent stingy with the alcohol. I ordered some buffalo wings and they were passable but the crown jewel of that restaurant is the drinks. Will definitely go back for that hurricane
(4)Sonja C.
The service was good, the portions were big, and the food was delicious. I will go there again.
(5)Symone H.
I went here with family after my sister's graduation. The service was horrible. We waited nearly 20 minutes just to get our orders taken. The shrimp po boy I had was kind of gross. I perceived it as inauthentic Cajun and Creole food. It was just doing too much with the garlic bread, the spinach, and a disgusting mayo-based remoulade sauce. Then, it took forever to get our check. I was not satisfied with the service or quality of the food. I doubt I'll return there.
(1)Katrina H.
Great food!! Great Atmosphere!! Definitely will get your moneys worth!
(5)Tiffany K.
*I didn't try the food* I was really looking forward to trying Tilly's after seeing it on Groupon and reading glowing Yelp reviews. However, I am disappointed. Tillys has bad customer service. My daughter and I arrived and waited at the door for at least 5 minutes without a greeting or even an acknowledgement. So we turned around and left. The sad part was that the restaurant wasn't even crowded. I am on the fence if whether or not to get refunded for my Groupon or give Tilly's another chance.
(1)Missy Poo J.
Darn good food, Must have the blackened Catfish Po'Boy again...It keeps calling me back!!
(3)Cheri R.
My daughter and I went to Tilly's for lunch this afternoon. After hearing soling about the place we were very disappointed. There were only 2 waitstaff on duty. The water container they provided was dirty. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza and small side salad. The salad never came. Delhi did enjoy the pizza. I had the catfish Pinot. Big mistake. It had a strange taste, like it was cooked in old oil or something . We were very disappointed. Not sure about trying them again. We also had to ask for the pudding (2x's) which was very tasty.
(1)Donnis W.
In town on business and always prefer to eat local when I travel. Found this place on yelp. Being a NOLA girl I am always cautiously optimistic when food establishments market themselves as Cajun, creole or New Orleans style. I was very impressed with Tilly's. The vibe and atmosphere of the place was festive and fun. There was very good music playing the entire time we were there. I was dancing and signing in my seat the whole time. The drinks were on point. Not watered down at all. Very strong and tasty. Now the food. Kudos to the kitchen staff for preparing very flavorful and tasty offerings. The seafood selections did not disappoint. Portions were large and everything was surprisingly seasoned very well. Loved the boom-boom sauce. I even enjoyed their gumbo/jambalaya hybrid soup and I am VERY particular about my gumbo. If I was pressed the only thing that I would change about the soup is chopping the seasonings a bit smaller. We were a party of four. We shared the Fry Basket appetizer and an order of spinach and artichoke dip. The Fry basket has fried o-rings, fried avocado (delish), fried pickle spears, fried green tomatoes and fried portobello mushrooms. For entrees one member of my party had the shrimp and bacon poboy that had an abundance of shrimp, someone else had a philly cheese type sandwich, another had a Mediterranean poboy with shrimp and another had the seafood platter. Everyone's food was very good and we all left with doggie bags. This is one place I would definitely recommend and visit again and again when I am in this area.
(5)Aaron S.
the food was very good...the service was slow
(3)Shari P.
Absolutely love Tilly's. I've eaten there three times and just love their po'boys. The bread is stunningly good - kind of a combination of really good french bread and chiabatta. Toasted to perfection. I've had the catfish which was perfectly prepared and last night had a (don't know what it's called) charred polish sausage with carmelized onions and green tomatoes. Luscious! For a buck you can get an excellent and good-sized salad in place of the side. Lots of fresh greens and veggies. You also get a little banana pudding on the side. Tasted fresh, not "banana flavored". The service can be a little slow, but everyone is very nice. They also need to learn to give people time to eat their salad before bringing the entree. Can't wait to go back again. Reasonable prices, nice decor, music videos playing on TVs (sometimes a little too loud for conversation - we asked them to turn the sound down a little, and they did). Don't know if they use the TVs for something besides music videos - maybe in the bar. I haven't tried breakfast, so can't comment on that.

I recently dined in at Tilly's for the first time. My wife and I were excited for a new restaurant in the area. Upon entering the hostess was not the most pleasant but palatable... Less than enthusiastic! We were very pleased with the decor, simple but put together very well! We were immediately greeted by our server who was extremely nice and vibrant. Upon examining the menu the excitement was building to think this was going to be the closest thing to Heaven on Seven in the South Suburbs. This turned out to be so far from my expectations. The appetizer should have been a sign of what was to follow. The calamari was under cooked and the quality... well need I say was better suited for a greasy spoon! We both chose po' boy sandwiches, the lack of flavor was apparent with the first bite of each sandwich, we were both extremely disappointed! (Catfish po boy & fried chicken with capicola). The desert that was served in a small take out cup was almost unbearable. All in all nowhere close to Heaven on Seven!
(1)Whitney W.
I came to Tilly's with a Groupon and ordered the buffalo shrimp po'boy. It was delicious, fries were great - banana pudding not so much, but that's ok. The service was good, and there was no wait time. There was a dj there as well!

Good good and friendly service. Drinks are good. Have been 2,3 times and had good and consistent experiences both times.

Recently went with my boyfriend I had the buffalo shrimp po boy and it was to die for! Service was great and the atmosphere is chill with great music. Plus they give dessert with the meal and the banana pudding was good too!

Went there with family today. The atmosphere was nice and the employees were nice, but the food so/so. The fried green tomatoes were amazing, but it was downhill from there. I see other reviewers talk about the huge portions. Yes, they were huge, but the food was sloppy. I had philly cheese steak and I'm glad I spilt it with my mom. My father had the BLT. The sandwiches was wet, gooey, and fell apart. I had to eat with knife and fork I left most of the sandwich though. I don't get this trend with waffle fries, they get hard quick and holds too much grease. And they are a little too expensive for what I'm getting Next time I will follows first my mind and go to the Chili's down the street . Won't be a return visitor.

My parents, my wife, my son, and I met up at Tilly's on a Saturday evening. LOVE the redone interior. Slick, bright, attractive through and through. For those not in-the-know, this was formerly a Leona's location. While much of the layout remains the same, the updated decor is welcome change. For food: I tried the shrimp and corn chowder, my wife had the gumbo-lia (love that name). Both us agreed: the taste of both though was top notch. PLENTY of chunks of shrimp and corn in my chowder, and sausage in the gumbo-lia, etc. For entrees: My son had chicken strips. He's two, so, no complaints. :) My father had the salad. He was floored at the quality and selection. Building something of that size for 9 bucks? He couldn't finish it, and let me say: that's the biggest compliment he could ever give. He was beyond satisfied.Like my son, my mother opted for the chicken tenders. She loved them, and really really loved the oven baked potatoes. My wife had the Fried Green Tomato Po Boy with the loaded potato salad. She took 1/2 the sandwich home because it was gargantuan. Loved the sammie. Loved the salad. She also wishes she had "about 5-10 more of those chocolate mouses" that came on the platter. I had the Po Boy with Chicken / Ham / Provolone / Red Peppers / Spinach / Garlic aioli. Suffice to say that was one of the best tasting sandwiches I've had in a restaurant. The bread was out of this world, The chicken, akin to Leona's is hefty and thankfully REAL. Not exactly well seasoned, but, amidst the aioli, ham, cheese, etc? It combined into a beautiful bite. Several in fact. Loved the presentation. Soup aside, I think the price for the amount of food you get is clearly great. I don't imagine a soul walking out of that place less than stuffed. Free play pinball machines? A full stocked bar? Milk shakes? And then the arcade in the old party room? Hands down, I loved so much of what Tilly's is. I sincerely hope that it "sticks" in the neighborhood. I will be FOR SURE adding it to the rotation of my family's weekly jaunts out.

I had heard good things about this place so I got a groupon to try them. I had the bacon cheddar chicken po boy which was bigger than expected and pretty tasty. Their fries are also good but I wish they would give more. I did takeout but the inside atmosphere seemed fun and lively. I would go back to tillys!

Try this place the food was really good, the portions were huge, so nice to have a new type of restaurant in the area their sandwiches were amazing. $11 gets you a huge overfilled sandwich, side and a desert. We went there about 1:00 pm and the place was half filled, agreed the service is a bit slow but the waiter was great, dont go there if your in a rush. I think they are holding off on hiring employees until business really picks up this is a new place, but i do hope they hire more waiters people will pass on a good spot if the service is bad. That being said buy the Groupon and give this place a shot would hate to lose another good restaurant (w/late hours) in this area.

This type of establishment was well over due for the Calumet City area. My chicken was cooked to perfection with a crispy outside and moist inside. I love getting my alcoholic drink in a small shot jug - NICE! The salad was huge, enough to serve two people. The atmosphere is just right for a group or just one visiting. I visited on a night when a boxing match was on. The fight was on and they had music blasting...just right for me. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I hope they keep this up.

Went to Tilly's with no expectations but was immediately impressed with the decor, definitely different from every other restaurant in the area. Very festive environment and even has a video slot room to continue to enhance the fun. The menu is cajun in nature but very diverse- the andouille sausage and gumbolaya were pretty incredible. We each had their signature Blue MF'r and were feeling nice and "happy" afterwards! The layout of the restaurant is kinda funky as there are separate dining areas. I was really surprised to learn that this is actually owned by Leona's. Great place to go for a fun time with friends!! Probably would not take small children as the menu may be a tad bit eccentric for them, I don't recall seeing burgers on the menu but I wasn't really looking for them either.

I'm a big fan of po'boys, I was hopeful when I saw this place filling the spot Leonas was in. I went in for a carryout and I ordered the Buffalo Bleu Cheese Shrimp po boy against my better judgment( you will never find something like this in the south) , and was surprised to learn I had to get the sides I didn't want, because the sandwich is not sold without them. The sandwich itself is a sloppy mess, but tasty. The bread was the best part. I opted for the gumbo-lia and the banana pudding, the gumbo-lia is tasty but if you want a bowl of gumbo, you will be disappointed, same thing if you want jambalaya( the gumbo-lia is described as a blend of gumbo and jambalaya). The banana pudding is nothing special. All in all it's not bad but it is a non-traditional take on real Cajun po'boys. The wait staff is very friendly and professional

I used to love this place! It was my go-to restaurant on a Friday night if I wanted to get out. Well, last night, not so much. I am used to the place being crowded. Well last night it wasn't.....good, so I thought. The restaurant was half empty. I was seated right away. I ordered a hurricane as I always do. 15 minutes later I was told that they did not have the liquor to make any of their specialty drinks! REALLY!!!! It was 7pm on a Friday night and you don't have the alcohol for your signature drinks! That speaks volumes to management and fiscal responsibility. We talked to the manager and he agreed to give me and my friend a complimentary drink. She ordered a margarita and I ordered the martini flight (We ordered drinks before he agreed to comp them). Well, 20 minutes later I got room temperature Martinis. Ice had never hit those Martinis! Horrible! At that time my friend had not gotten her margarita. We were there well over 30 minutes. We left! I can't see how this place will last. Such a disappointment.

I purchased a groupon for this place b/c i was intrigued by the thought of a good po boy. The interior is very nice, lots of tvs to watch the game. As for the food I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. I had the blue cheese shrimp po boy, my wife had the chx parm po boy. Both good, not the best thing I've ever had but good. The bread is phenomenal. My only complaint is I wish they just had a regular shrimp po boy. I think if ur in the mood for a good sandwich and a place to watch the game this is ur place. I'll definitely be back. They also have a full bar and plenty of mixed drinks and a variety of milkshakes. I saw a lot of complaints about the service and I would give it a 10/10. The service was prolly some of the best I've had in a restaurant in this area.

Pretty freakin good! The Shimp was cooked perfectly, the bread pudding 2 to die for and the hand made long Island was delicious!

So delicious! I had the French quarter po' boy and my husband had the catfish fry po' boy. They were huge, high quality ingredients, absolutely wonderful! And $11 is a steal for these huge sandwiches, side and a small dessert. A little warning, the fried pickles are HOT!!! Ambiance was fun, service was slow but they were apologetic.

Love this place the food is great and plentiful. My only small issue was the cashiers couldnt find the button on her screen for what I wanted to order originally, so I ordered something else. Can't wait to eat there again!

Great food & plenty of it! The fried green tomato appetizer are a must. Ordered the shrimp & seafood po' boy as well as the blue cheese po' boy to split with a friend. Also, the Hurricanes were on point. We will be returning often!

I went there today, loved the decor, tv's, old school music, overall a laid back, fun environment. I ordered the shrimp & bacon po boy sandwich with a side of gumbo soup, which was sooo delicious!! Nice service. I will definititely be back.

Had a groupon and decided to check the place out.love the atmosphere. Reminds me of a updated version of bennigans but less decor.love the music that plays at this place. A very fun but different playlist that just makes you sing and reminis about the 90s 80s.The fact that was my expectation was lowered by the wait kinda made me think twice about this place considered it was a Monday.10 min wait just to be seated and it wasn't crowded at all.no more then 6 parties including my party.as we were seated we waited another 15 mins for our order and drinks. The food was another 20 minute wait as well.I had the strawberry sweet tea and it wasn't sweet at all. It just tasted like syrup mixed with tea.the food did make up the crappy drink and long wait. Very well portioned for the price. I suggest the Mac n cheese for your side with the banana pudding. Will be back for the food but the wait time has got to go.

Wow!!! Awesome new place in CalCity. This place is where the former Leona's use to be. I never had a real PoBoy sandwich. Their tag is "We don't skimp on the Shrimp". They sure didn't skimp. This place has a very happy vibe to it and the service was great. They serve their sandwiches on these wooden pizza paddle looking things which look really cool. Sandwiches are served with broasted potatoes and dessert in a jar that is very good. I highly recommend this place.

I was looking on Yelp for a place to grab a sandwich in the Cal City/ Lansing area and came across Tilly's. I glanced at their menu and instantly knew I had to try this place. I ordered the hickory BBQ chicken po' boy because chicken and bacon are great together, in my opinion. I got the sandwich to go and received a decent sized box with it inside. I knew I was in store for something unique. The sandwich itself was very good but a little messy. The pieces of chicken were very tender, the bacon was crisp, the zucchini added a soft texture to the crispy bacon & bread, and the cheese was melted all over along with the tasty BBQ sauce. This sandwich was delicious. It is not a matter of IF I get another one of these, it's just a matter of WHEN. Hopefully next time I just don't burn the roof of my mouth.

Delicious & Fresh Food! Our group kept saying how Delish our food was! Waitress was very nice & accommodating! We Will go back! Very nice atmosphere! And they have slot machines!!

Tried the breakfast menu this time. Chicken (tenders) and waffles. Toughest/driest waffles I've ever had. Sent them back. The second one's were just as tough (required a knife to cut) but at least hot. How do you mess up waffles?

After being contacted by Rochelle of Po Tillys we decided to give them another try. The service was completely opposite from our previous visit. The server was nice prompt and attentive. Rochelle also visited several times to ensure that everything was satisfactory. All in all very pleased with the restaurant. I am happy that Po Tillys read our review and decided to correct the issues. We will return in the future

I love the food here! I've had the chicken parm PO boy each time I ate here ;-) I've only been to Tilly's while on my lunch break and the wait was a bit long. Staff was nice for the most part. I will be back to try more great food!

The food was good and I was stuffed. service was ok and the staff needs to step it up big time. They were kind of slow. My friend order a sandwich and they didn't have the key ingredient but she did pick a higher sandwich. The manager was nice enough to charge her the same price as her original sandwich she order. I'll go back for the food but only for take out.

Tilly's has stepped their game up. It took them awhile to get to a consistent spot. Food is good.

I decided to try this place because I had a Groupon. So I ordered takeout. I got the shrimp po boy and fries. The food was ok. The shrimp was good but the lettuce on it was a little brown. It appeared to be going bad. The customer service left much to be desired. The hostess did not greet me and there was some confusion in regards to my order. I was never given an apology or did she say thank you. Overall the restaurant is sub par at best. But of course this could have just been an off day.

This was my second time ordering from here and my meal was mediocre. They first time I ordered a salad with the works and it was nothing really special to it. Today I ordered the bruchessta type pizza with shrimp, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce. The shrimp could have been cooked a little longer and the bread was a little hard. I won't make this my last time eating here. I will give them one more chance to prove to me that they are worth their over prices food.
